Choose a photo you have uploaded or one of your previous creations, then describe the change you want. Auto Mode analyzes the image before generation.

Best for one-off edits, transformations, reframing, and creative changes. No personal model needed.

Personal AI model

Choose a model trained on 10–20 of your selfies, then describe a new scene, outfit, pose, or style. Auto Mode refines your prompt for personal-model generation.

Best for creating many new photos while keeping the same person recognizable. Photos made with a personal model have their own workflow and credit price.

Auto Mode turns your request into clear generation instructions based on your starting point and goal.

When you start with a photo

Auto Mode analyzes the image, translates instructions when needed, determines what to change and preserve, and selects a supported aspect ratio and file format.

When you use a personal AI model

Auto Mode translates and refines your request for personal-model generation. It does not analyze a separate photo, and the Generation quality setting used for photos does not apply.

Auto Mode refines the request. You still choose the Generation quality used for photo-based creation.

How Generation quality works with a photo

When you start with a photo, Studio uses the Generation quality selected in the app. Choose faster 1K generation to save time and credits, or choose 2K or 4K for more detail. Higher levels may require Pro or Max.

These reference credit costs apply when you generate from a photo. The Generation quality control in the app shows the cost and plan required for each option. Credits never expire. Personal AI model generation has its own credit price.

When to train a personal AI model

Train a personal AI model when you want to create many different photos of the same person while keeping them recognizable. Training is optional—you can use Studio with a photo instead.
